3rd Quarter Project

The light blue and pink cup was glazed by dipping it first in metallic green and then in second hand rose. It held a little under six ounces of water. The dark blue cup was glazed by dipping it in metallic green and then blue rutile. It held a little over six ounces of water.

You should take your work off of the wooden boards when it is leather hard so that it does not become bone dry before it is fired. I focused on balace and shape when creating these cups. I wanted my cups to be symmetrical and I wanted them to have interesting shapes. During this project I learned how to trim on the wheel. I wouldn't change anything about this project.

February Post

I am working on cups. I have made one pinch pot cup. It was easy to make but it was hard to make it smooth and symmetrical. I am going to try to make my other cups on the wheel.

This candle holder was glazed by painting on four coats of chun plum. It has not been glaze fired yet.

End of Semester 1

This is the beginning of my first cup out of six.

This is four coasters that were extra credit for the candleholder project.
